ENGLISH TEACHER 

Barbara Badore teaches AP Literature and Honors English III. She holds teaching certification, a master’s degree in English, and additional graduate-level coursework in education. Now in her 18th year at Sacred Heart Academy, Barbara brings deep experience in literature and writing instruction to her classroom. She values the distinctive opportunities of an all-girls school and is passionate about encouraging young women to find their voices, share their ideas with confidence, and see themselves as leaders in the classroom and beyond. 

Chair of English Department

Mrs. Badore received a B.A in English from Ithaca College, a Master's in Education from the University of Bridgeport and a Master's in English from Central Connecticut State University. At SHA since 2009, Mrs. Badore had taught a variety of English courses and various electives and also currently serves as the Chair of the English Department, where she mentors new teachers and is a resource for the whole department.
