Business Department
At Sacred Heart Academy we are committed to a rich business and finance curriculum that prepares our girls for leadership roles in a digital and globally focused jobs market. The Business Department offers Personal Finance, Business Entrepreneurship, Computer Applications, and AP Computer Science. Our business program focuses on teaching essential skills and emphasizes career readiness and exploration. The experience that our students gain through these courses provide them with the confidence and advantage they need to compete, be prepared for internships, and confidently explore majors and career options in college.
Michael Marcello • department Chair
Mr. Marcello received a B.S in Business Administration from Becker College and a M.A in Educational Technology from Fairfield University. Starting at SHA in 2018, he teaches a variety of business classes and is the Business Department Chair. He brings his expertise of financial management and career readiness and exploration to his students and encourages them to embrace their individual creativity as he believes that with innovation is the key to business success. Additionally, Mr. Marcello is the head coach of the school’s varsity tennis team and was named the 2018 Southern Connecticut Conference Girls Tennis Coach of the Year.
