Fine Art Department
The Arts provide the students with a universal language to communicate our history, our values and perhaps most importantly, our faith. The Fine Arts Department offers a wide range of courses - from introductory to honors level. Students are required to take one credit of Fine Arts (including Introduction to Fine Arts – a required freshmen course), but are able to take as many as they are interested in.
Teresa DelVecchio • department Chair
Mrs. DelVecchio received a B.F.A. in graphic design from UCONN, and a M.S. in Art Education from SCSU. Teaching at schools for over 27 years in various school settings and has been at SHA the last 11. In addition to serving at the Department Chair of the Fine Arts Department, Mrs. DelVecchio moderates the Visual Arts Club and Scenic Design at SHA. As an artist, she continues to experiment with various medias, including pottery, painting, and drawing.
