On Wednesday, February 12th, a large crowd of students gathered in the SHA cafeteria for the first annual Women in S.T.E.M. fair, sponsored by Mu Alpha Theta and the Science National Honor Society. The students had an opportunity to perform several S.T.E.M. challenges, such as building a catapult, a marble roller coaster and a weight bearing bridge out of household items. They learned about past and present women S.T.E.M leaders and pioneers with a scavenger hunt and had an opportunity to win STEM prizes. Thank you to Dr. Christophy for bringing this idea to life!
