A Well-Rounded Trip To Washington DC
During February break over 50 students traveled to Washington DC for a trip that included sights, sounds, and just a little bit of behind-the-scenes adventure. Accompanied by Mrs. Mehinovic and Madame Levallois, the group visited the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial and National Mall, followed by a beautiful dinner cruise on the Potomac River.
They started the second day at Catholic University, where they joined the University choir for a rehearsal. They toured the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, where they also showcased their talents with a choir performance for local SHA alumnae in DC.
After some shopping, the trip concluded with a tour of the Federal Bureau of Investigation led by Nancy McNamara, SHA class of 1980 and former Assistant Director/Supervisory Agent at the FBI. Students were thrilled to have this exclusive tour and the opportunity to learn from Nancy’s first-hand experience at the FBI.
