“Love What You Do and Serve Others First”
SHA students, faculty and staff had the special privilege of learning from Guinness World Record™ Title Holders Ettore and Angelo Rossetti P’24 in a recent Excelsior Enrichment Friday assembly.
The twin brothers have set three Guinness World Record™ Titles together, including a 30,576 tennis volley rally in 2015 in a third of its time of their 2008 record, taking 14 hours and 31 minutes and most recently, setting the record of longest pickleball rally of 16,046 shots taking over 6 hours on World Mental Health Day, October 10, 2021.
While these accomplishments brought the twin brothers subsequent public and media attention, this was not what motivated them. Instead, Angelo and Ettore were searching for a way to bring awareness to causes important to them such as ALS, mental health, and children dying from preventable causes. Raising more than $100,000 for the latter through Save the Children, which earned them a Humanitarian Stream Team award. Each world record breaking event was thoughtfully turned into an opportunity to give back.
Engaging their audience during their SHA visit, Angelo and Ettore demonstrated their skills by volleying back and forth, playing both tennis and pickleball, and giving play-by-plays of each of these life-changing events. Amid this excitement, they discussed the Four G’s they believe set them up for success: Get a dream, Goals set, Goals get, and Give back. The brothers believe in applying these Four Gs to anything one sets out to do can bring subsequent success for what you put your heart and mind to do.
We are so delighted to have Angelo, former SHA tennis coach, and Ettore as part of our SHA community and thank them both for taking the time to inspire our girls to set out and do remarkable things.
