April 11th, 2024

On April 9, students from Mandarin and Art classes embarked on an educational journey to Yale University , exploring two of its most renowned locations. Their first stop was the Yale University Art Gallery where the inquisitive Chinese class delved into the Chinese exhibit. They immersed themselves in an enriching cultural and artistic experience, absorbing the historical tales that accompanied each piece of treasured Chinese cultural artifacts.

The exploration continued at the Yale University Library, featuring a unique tour of the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library. Students marveled at its exquisite architectural features and perused a fascinating exhibition that showcased a diverse array of photographs.

The group stopped for lunch at a New Haven treasure – Yorkside Pizza. The memorable expedition not only expanded the student’s knowledge but also brought SHA students closer to diverse aspects of culture and history.
